Autumn is officially here. The return of the Pumpkin Spice Latte signals the beginning of our descent into the winter months, but before we leap into full Halloween mode, let’s cast our minds back to September. Join us as we check in on our Huckletree members for the lowdown on major raises, big announcements and the return of the Alpha Programme…

Say goodbye to the morning blues! Huckletree’s Growth Tuesday breakfast series has officially made it to Dublin. From branding bootcamps to investment deep dives, this is your chance to join the Huckletree D2 community for a morning of coffee and conversation with our renegade guest speakers.

‘Who’s taking part next?’ I hear you say. We’ve got you: Members TechIreland, Consensys, House My Dog and Silicon Valley Bank are joining forces for the ultimate funding panel. From crowdfunding to bitcoin and everything in between, get your name on the list to hear advice from all angles, and get your questions answered.

As you may have noticed in August’s roundup, we’re super stoked to launch the Alpha Programme, our in-house accelerator, in Dublin. September saw the kickoff workshops for our four awesome teams. From acing their brand mission to creating the best team culture, we’ve started our very first programme with a bang. Stay tuned for a proper introduction to each team, and for the latest on all things Alpha Programme…

There was great news for Huckletree D2 members Consensys who announced their Dublin-based team will increase to an incredible 110 members, after hitting their yearly target by September this year. We’re predicting seriously exciting times ahead for the Blockchain platform.

Big congratulations are in order for fintech startup Countingup, who announced their £2.3m seed round last month! The team also revealed that over 4000 customers have signed up to their business bank account that also solves your bookkeeping worries – and they’re gaining 1,500 more small businesses each month. The incredible raise was led by Forward Partners, with participation from Frontline Ventures and JamJar Investments. Beers all round for Founder and CEO Tim Fouracre and team!

How do we make startup funding more diverse? We are on a mission to raise awareness of the lack of diversity in founders receiving funding, as revealed in our nationwide survey. An awesome panel of investment thought leaders and startup founders gathered to answer this question at our Fairer Funding Now event. From imposter syndrome to stereotypes, we discussed it all. Get the full lowdown here, and look out for more Fairer Funding events coming to a Huckletree near you soon!

Huckletree West’s in-house gaming gurus, Dream Reality Interactive have had a great year so far! From collaborating with Sky to recreate Sir David Attenborough as a hologram to rave reviews at E3 for their highly anticipated gaze-controlled game Arca’s Path, the team is busy creating some seriously awesome experiences. Founder Dr Dave Ranyard recently caught up with UploadVR to share the story of the indie gaming studio, from his days at Sony, to their home overlooking the Meditation Yurt. Want the full scoop? Check it out and get the official launch date for Arca’s Path!

Alpha 5 has officially landed. The fifth crew of the  Alpha Programme based at Huckletree Shoreditch hit the ground running in their first few weeks, meeting with industry insiders to supercharge their product. Huckletree ambassador Rabin Yaghoubi of Babylon Health took our teams through their paces to ace their customer acquisition last week. Here’s a pearl of wisdom from the session:

“Don’t be too distracted by the ‘big’ clients, small wins are very important for morale and building your reputation as a startup; you need to celebrate them!”

Have you spotted a familiar logo on your commute recently? Huckletree Shoreditch members Airtasker kicked off their TFL marketing campaign, showing the people of London just how they can make their lives so much easier! It’s not just a LDN thing either. Brighton and Manchester are the latest cities to launch on the community marketplace app, meaning even more Taskers can share their DIY skills, queue for the latest iPhone and search for biological fathers (yes, really!).

Let’s end on a big one… Software startup Branch revealed some huge news in the last few weeks. The team announced the acquisition of analytics brand Tune, making one of the biggest moves in mobile marketing acquisitions. Serious props.
